I can't help but write this post for the sweet teenager who was brutally murdered in her own bed.
The world was introduced to Aarushi Talwar, a 13 year old cheerful kid who was found murdered in her own bed. When I first read the news, I felt very sad and helpless. But my feelings of frustration was compounded by the way the police and the media turned this tragic incidence into a circus.
Character assassination of a 13 year old child, who was not around to defend herself was the most despicable thing that the police could do and the media instead of abhorring such salaciousness, lapped up the disgraceful untruth for TRP ratings and increased sales.
Aarushi Talwar is a human being! It is horrifying to see a dead child's reputation being ground to dust. Statements like finding her in an 'objectionable but no compromising' position with the manservant is an insult to the child as well as the slain man Hemraj. What did the police think they were doing? Would the IG and SSP like to hear the same insinuations if they were made against their own children. She was 13 for heaven's sake. If you cannot do your job right, don't slander a child's character!
And the media! I was disgusted when a Hindi media channel had 'specialists' talk about her 'friendship' with boys. Shut the crap up you morons! You expect an old haggard to understand this generation where kids do not look at gender before making friends. This is a healthier generation who believes in friendship ....this ain't the 'can i fraaanship with you' kind of morons we are talking about. These are normal children. So she was friends with three boys ...and that gave the psychotic media and police to judge that she was of 'loose' character. Get a life! And the way this old man was talking about friends...'uski teen ladko se dosti thi'....thi toh kya? what about it? Cant a child be friends with the other gender? What's wrong in that? Cant these prehistoric 'analysts' with their stupid notions just SHUT UP!Give some respect to the departed soul. Don't slander her name. Don't juxtapose a fictional character on her and try to erase her truth.
The I&B ministry has issues with FTV but is silent on this ongoing dirty slaughter of a small child. This is the worst form on indecency being telecast on TV as well as print and you Mr. Minister find no voice to stop this. Where has your conscience and sense of righteousness disappeared now? Now don't you feel like a guardian who should prevent his children from viewing immoral stuff! Hang your heads in shame!
Honour killing! If that is so celebrated then kill the media, kill the police...kill the society that allows such brutal smothering of a late child's memories. Then we might be able to restore the honour Aarushi deserves.
I am ashamed and so should you be and hope for the forgiveness of the much wronged Aarushi, her parents and Hemraj. May their soul rest in peace.
